Kuba (Mateusz Banasiuk), is a professional swimmer who lives with his mother and his girlfriend, Sylwia (Marta Nieradkiewicz), and he feels quite unsatisfied with his life. One day he meets open and bohemian gay artist Michal (Bartosz Gelner) in a gallery, and his foundations shake as he feels a strong sexual attraction towards him. This causes a great conflict inside him as he is afraid of accepting his latent homosexuality while his girlfriend clings to their relationship, feeling that it is slipping through her fingers. Wasilewski deals with sensibility in his second film, the struggles of the individual to find and accept his or her sexual identity in spite of social restrictions. His work is reminiscent of such relevant films as Sunday Bloody Sunday (John Schlesinger, 1971) or Brokeback Mountain (Ang Lee, 2006).
