Arturo Valls and producer Félix Tusell will present the film in the Asturian city during an event with the audience.
The 2017 Summer Itinerant Cinema Cycle Gas Natural continues its journey on August 20th with the screening of the comedy “Los del tunel”. The initiative, promoted jointly by Gas Natural Fenosa and the Academia de Cine ( Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences), will make a stop in Gijón with the help of one of the main characters from the film, who also co-produces it, Arturo Valls, and producer Félix Tusell, who will present it during a conference which will take place the same day of the screening and will allow the local cinephiles to discover the shoot’s interesting facts and anecdotes.

The showing will start at 22:00, it will be free until the maximum seating capacity is reached and it will take place at Auditorio del Mar, Cerro Santa Catalina. The screening will have the collaboration of Gijón International Film Festival and DIVERTIA S.A.

Gijón is the seventh stop for the cycle. During this ninth edition, the initiative will travel to ten Spanish cities, bringing those films that have made their mark in 2016 and during the first months of 2017.

“Los del túnel” presents the quandary of what happens when a film about catastrophes ends. What happens after The End? Well, they meet for dinner every Friday. The hero, the rebellious teen, the crumbling couple… and the idiot. While others celebrate being alive, Toni ponders about his status as the “idiot of the bunch”, which throws him into a crisis bigger than the one he has survived. Will he be able to come out of that tunnel?

The Itinerant Cinema Cycle Gas Natural Fenosa, which has brought the best Spanish cinema to more than 45,000 viewers in over 75 Spanish cities since July 2013, returns during the summer months. After their visit to Gijón, they will go on to Sagunto, Ribadeo and Sabadell, contributing once again to bring the Spanish seventh art to every corner of our country.
